If you are registered with a Wakefield District GP practice and feel unwell when they are closed, you can get help from GP Care Wakefield: Evening and Weekend clinics.
GP Care Wakefield can also help you if you struggle to make routine daytime appointments with your practice nurse.
Monday to Friday: 5pm – 9:30pm
Saturday: 9am – 5pm
Sunday: 9am – 1pm
Bank Holidays: 9am – 3pm
If you need to see the nurse, we know how hard it can be arranging daytime appointments that fit around work, school or other commitments.
Your practice can offer you an evening or weekend appointment at GP Care Wakefield if it suits you better, just mention it to your practice reception team.
The service is not available for routine matters such as repeat prescriptions.
Please remember you will need to bring your injections, dressings, or suture / clip removers to the appointment.
